Decided to do a gallery post for this.  So many photos!  Meet downtown Calgary which we explored the morning of our departure.  We made a point to stop at the Devonian Gardens inside the CORE Shopping Centre (3 blocks from our hotel).  We loved the great spaces downtown, including the beautiful outdoor park area by City Hall and our favourite Stephen Avenue strip which is closed to traffic during certain hours, leaving plenty of room for pedestrians, entertainers, and merchants.

Downtown Calgary is such a joy to explore on foot and very pedestrian friendly.  The tagline of Stephen Avenue is “I am downtown strutting my stuff.”  Super accurate.  Make sure you come ready to people watch, support local shops and restaurants and strut your way downtown next time you’re here!
