Meet Vancouver Christmas Market.

Despite having arrived on Boxing Day, I was thrilled to hear that there was a German-inspired Christmas Market happening at Canada Place, right behind the Olympic Cauldron.  Of course, this girl put her boots and mitts on and walked her way over.

Vendors on Vendors on Vendors!

I’m a sucker for outdoor markets and Christmas lights – imagine when they combine the two!  This Christmas Market even had a carousel to entertain your little ones (and/or partners) if you were taking longer than expected.  If shopping makes you work up an appetite, there are a variety of food vendors including the popular bratwurst kiosk and the chimney cakes.  You can find handmade soaps, eco-friendly items, fair trade coffees and products, and local artisans’ specialties.  A live band or musician rounds out the entertainment as you find yourself humming along while checking out the different vendors.  Perusing the venue made for a lovely post-Christmas stroll on my 2nd night in Vancouver.

Have you gone to the Vancouver Christmas Market?  What was your favourite part?

xoxo,

Judianne
